You’ve had several months now with your students and probably have had ideas about how to enrich a particular unit of study. In fact, some of your textbooks have “enrichment” sections which you might have glanced at and decided you don’t have the funds (or time, because of testing) to be “enriching.”
Please, do consider completing this online application. It only takes time, and you’ve got lots of that, right?
The grant application itself is as user-friendly as we can make it, and we truly want to help you go another “extra mile” for our kids.
A few helpful hints
Keep it simple and convey your passion.
Write for a non-educator audience since some of the members of the Grant Review Committee are not educators. Communicate clearly how your project will affect your students.
While it is critical for the reviewers to understand the details of your plan, it’s as important for them to understand the WHY. Explain why the proposed activity is so important to you.
Discuss your project’s anticipated outcomes while being realistic. Be thoughtful about how your activities will result in a lasting impact on your teaching and/or your students.
Complete the Budget Section using the LISD approved vendor list.
The purchasing agent on your campus might be a helpful resource.
Do ask for help or more information about your application from members of the Education Foundation.
We are here because we want to help you help our kids.
